- If you are not running any communications applications, then I would
- suspect that your modem's nvram has S0=2 stored in it. If this is the
- case you can bring up a comm program (like hyperterminal) and issue
- ATS0=0&W&W1 to the modem, when you get the OK back you shouldn't have
- any more problems. However if you have WinFax, MS Exchange, or any
- other comm program running, that changes the whole ball of wax.
